The Proclamation
Our pastor's original mission from God was this publication, distributed on the rural routes of our small town. Our church sprang from this initial calling and today you can read any issue of The Proclamation from anywhere in the world!
Imagine a football player - a benchwarmer - who finally gets his chance in the big game... "Put your helmet on, you're going in!" commands the coach. With lazy, uninterested eyes the player replies, "Oh, I'm not here to play football, I just want to wear the jersey so I can say I'm on the team." Sound ridiculous? This scenario represents a person who wears the name "Christian" but has no dedication to Jesus Christ and His teaching... Read More >>
Life is way too short to just simply exist, with no real purpose or meaning. James 4:14 compares life to a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. In the short time that you will be on this earth, what are you trying to achieve? Are you pouring your whole life into short-term objectives that will cease to be a blessing to you the moment you draw your last breath? Or have you established your life's objective as one that will be an eternal blessing? Read More >>
There are few people, if any, when talking about those in leadership that say, “they are doing everything exactly the way i would do it.” I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say that, come to think of it. God, who holds the title and patent for the Universe, has supreme authority over everything in existence. Did you already know that? Then why are you still acting as the king of your life? Before I begin this message about unanswered prayers I would like to establish the fact that there is really no such thing as “unanswered” prayers. God answers every single prayer that we pray. Sometimes the answer is "yes," sometimes the answer is "no," and sometimes the answer is "wait." We may never understand why God chooses the answer that He does, so we must just learn to trust Him… Read More >>
Midnight officially closes out one day and ushers in a brand new one every twenty-four hours. Yesterday is over and so is everything that happened in it. It's pains, failures, and heartaches are all over. The only part of yesterday that can haunt you today is the part that you continue to dwell on... Read More >>
